Just a quick note: Since we released this episode and how we teach the layers of a referable business, we have improved the concept of “layers” or “building blocks” to be more holistic. On episode #138, I broke down layer #1 which is the Existing Referral Source layer.

Then on episode #139, you met David Ferguson, Growth By Referrals client and financial planner who shared what it was like identifying his referrals sources as he built layer #1 of his Referral Strategy in his business.

Now we move to layer #2, our potential or soon-to-be referral sources.

This second layer focuses on those people we wish would refer us.  We need to identify them and cultivate them correctly so they start to refer us. This layer is our Potential Referral Sources.
